PBVM is very much engaged in transfering technology to the people to improve their livelihood and for popularization of science and development of scientific temper. PBVM Set up district level Science & Technology centres to facilitate the activity of 'technology transfer'. One such unit was set up in the name of great scientist Dr. Kudrat-e-Khuda in Margram in Birbhum district and other such units are being run successfully at Kalna, Burdwan; Haripal, Hoogly & Nabagram, Murshidabad. Moreover, PBVM had taken up large scale implementation programme for setting up 'Improved Chulla' and 'Sanitary Mart' for spreading the health consciousness among rural people. Technologies for production of low-cost housing, aromatic rice, dry flower, herbal colour & herbal aabir, soap, detergent & phenyl making are being done in several districts successfully.
